ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Product Engineering team at Storyblok. As a key contributor, you'll play an instrumental role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our flagship CMS platform, empowering businesses to create and deliver seamless digital content experiences.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you'll work closely with product owners, designers, and developers to design and maintain clean, scalable automated tests, develop thorough test plans, perform rigorous testing, and continuously refine QA strategies to maintain best-in-class software quality. Your work will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional user experience by ensuring flawless performance across every facet of our application.
You'll be responsible for owning projects end-to-end with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability, ensuring high-quality standards across teams. You'll champion quality and coding standards, promoting engineering excellence, and driving continuous improvement. You'll also design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable automated tests across frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript.
You'll think strategically about test automation, collaborate with developers to ensure balanced test coverage within the testing pyramid, and contribute to and evolve the overall testing strategy, improving QA processes and metrics. You'll prepare and review test plans to validate both functional and non-functional requirements, perform manual and exploratory testing, and document, track, and verify defects to ensure product excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer. You'll also need 3+ years of proven experience in test automation across frontend and backend using Playwright, strong proficiency in TypeScript with experience building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks, and comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
You'll need excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align across technical and product teams. You'll also need high attention to detail, proven ability to deliver results, and a strong motivation to contribute to organizational growth in a high-performing environment.
