Senior Independent AI Engineer / Architect

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Independent AI Engineer/Architect to join A.Team, an invite-only network of senior AI engineers, ML engineers, and AI architects building production AI systems for startups, enterprises, and global companies. As a member of our network, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects with ambitious companies, collaborating with experienced peers and shaping both technical direction and execution. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will join small teams solving real problems, working directly with founders, CTOs, and product leaders. Recent projects have included building AI-native products from scratch, developing agent architectures and orchestration systems, deploying enterprise AI solutions, and creating retrieval, evaluation, and reliability infrastructure. You will also have the opportunity to work on LLM-powered workflows and products, as well as machine learning platforms operating at scale. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you should have a track record of building and shipping AI systems into production. You should understand the tradeoffs behind the hype and be able to turn technical complexity into business value. This is not a fit for early-career engineers, people without production AI experience, small gig seekers, or developers focused primarily on simple AI wrappers or templated implementations. WHY REMOTE As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the Americas, Europe, or Israel. You will keep 100% of your rate, which is typically between $120-$170 per hour.
