Lemon.io
Senior Golang Developer
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Lemon.io partners with a cutting‑edge artificial intelligence research company that is redefining the economics of AI by co‑designing hardware, software, algorithms, and models. As a Senior Golang Developer you will architect and deliver the core platform that empowers research and inference teams to provision, scale, repair, and tear down GPU clusters through a seamless API, replacing manual ticket‑based workflows. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of AI experiments and the speed at which new models can be deployed, making AI benefits accessible to a broader society.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will design, implement, and maintain the Go‑based platform, ensuring high availability and scalability for GPU cluster operations. You will own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from defining feature specifications to refining developer experience and monitoring production systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including data scientists, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to translate research requirements into robust, reusable services. You will leverage Kubernetes controllers and Temporal workflows to orchestrate complex, long‑running jobs, and you will continuously optimize performance and cost efficiency. You will also mentor junior engineers, review code, and contribute to open‑source initiatives that support the broader AI community.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You bring at least five years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of three years focused on Golang and Kubernetes controller development. Mastery of Temporal is essential, and you should have a proven track record of building production‑grade distributed systems from scratch. You possess deep architectural insight, enabling you to design clean, maintainable codebases that scale. Your communication skills in English are advanced; you can articulate technical concepts to stakeholders, justify design decisions, and represent the team in client meetings. You are self‑organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a fully remote environment, delivering results promptly after onboarding. Adaptability and a proactive mindset are crucial, as you will navigate evolving research requirements and rapidly changing technology landscapes.
WHY REMOTE
Lemon.io embraces a fully distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers engineers to work from any location in the EU, US, Canada, UK, Australia, or Singapore. Flexible hours allow you to balance personal commitments while meeting project milestones, and a culture of trust ensures you have the autonomy to manage your workload. Remote work is supported by robust communication tools, regular virtual stand‑ups, and a strong emphasis on documentation, enabling seamless collaboration across time zones.
BENEFITS
Successful candidates transition from contract to direct hire, receiving competitive equity, comprehensive health insurance, and a generous paid time off policy. Additional perks include a monthly remote stipend to cover home‑office expenses, a learning budget for courses and conferences, and access to a curated library of technical resources. Lemon.io also offers a supportive community of developers worldwide, fostering continuous growth and knowledge sharing.
