Senior Full Stack Engineer, Enterprise, Feature Management

ABOUT THE ROLE LaunchDarkly’s Enterprise team powers the platform for the world’s most demanding customers, including global banks, national health systems, and Fortune 100 manufacturers. These customers rely on LaunchDarkly to manage thousands of engineers and tens of thousands of feature flags while operating under strict audit, compliance, and regional isolation requirements. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will own the end‑to‑end design and delivery of features that address governance, scalability, programmatic control, and resilience at enterprise scale. Your work will directly shape the experience of our largest clients and influence the product roadmap across multiple teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will lead feature development from problem framing with product managers and designers through technical design, implementation in Go, TypeScript, and React, and post‑release operational support. You will design for enterprise constraints such as roles, permissions, approval workflows, audit logging, data residency, and regional isolation, ensuring the system behaves correctly when dependencies are degraded. You will proactively identify and eliminate scalability and performance limits before customers encounter them, measuring bottlenecks and redesigning systems rather than tuning. You will extend our public API, Terraform provider, and configuration surfaces so platform teams can manage LaunchDarkly as infrastructure. You will engage directly with customers on escalations and discovery calls, turning specific issues into solutions that benefit entire segments. You will raise operability by improving observability, runbooks, and on‑call processes, and you will drive cross‑team alignment to surface and resolve misalignments early. Finally, you will mentor peers, review specifications and pull requests, and accelerate the onboarding of new engineers. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring at least six years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering features from design to production. You are a genuine full‑stack developer, proficient in a statically typed backend language and comfortable owning frontend work in TypeScript and React. You have built enterprise‑grade products that support multi‑tenancy, SSO, audit logging, and compliance requirements, and you have solved scale and performance challenges by redesigning core systems. You possess strong API design judgment, having built interfaces that other engineers depend on and learned from the consequences of missteps. You are comfortable speaking with large customer platform teams, translating their underlying needs into generalized solutions. You thrive in a distributed, asynchronous environment, collaborating across time zones and occasionally flexing your schedule to meet EMEA stakeholders. You communicate clearly in writing, producing design documents and decisions that keep distributed teams aligned.
