Senior Engineering Manager - Cloudforce One

ABOUT THE ROLE Cloudforce One's Threat Application Services team is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the development and scaling of the Threat Events platform, Threat Intel APIs, and backend systems that integrate Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) into products like WAF and Gateway for automated mitigation. You will be responsible for the architectural direction and operational excellence of the services owned by your team, ensuring they meet the latency and reliability requirements of Enterprise security operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will drive the professional development of your direct reports and collaborate with product managers and security researchers to turn complex threat data into intuitive, automated customer experiences. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where software engineering meets security research, delivering scalable distributed systems, managing complex data pipelines, and leading teams through the transition from "getting things done" to building world-class, reliable products. This role may require flexibility to be on-call outside of standard working hours to address technical issues as needed. You will also be responsible for leading hiring efforts to expand our engineering capabilities as we build the next generation of agentic threat intelligence tools. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 8+ years of Software Development experience, with a focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems - Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows - Prior experience building high-performance APIs or platforms for threat intelligence, security operations, or large-scale data analytics - Proven ability to manage technical debt, drive professional development through strong mentorship, and excel at planning and execution to deliver predictable, world-class products in a high-growth environment WHY REMOTE At Cloudflare, we value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools.
