Senior Data Scientist

ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join Monzo's Data Science team, where you'll play a key role in helping us build the bank of the future. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be working in cross-functional squads alongside engineers, designers, marketers, product managers, and other data scientists. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Applying your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand how our users interact with our products and inform our product strategy. Guiding and enabling product teams to measure things that matter, and initiating or running A/B experiments to improve our products. Driving a unified company-wide understanding of the lifetime value of our users and how different product features impact user profitability, in collaboration with the finance team. Liaising with engineers to ensure we collect the right data to produce relevant business insights. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you should be impact-driven, commercially-minded, and able to put numbers into business perspective. You should be comfortable getting hands-on and thinking strategically, with a strong skill set in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation. Experience working with data visualization tools, such as Looker, is also desirable.
