Senior Data Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic team of remote professionals. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architectures that support fast‑moving startup projects across the United States and Europe. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will create end‑to‑end data solutions from scratch, ensuring robust, scalable architecture. Your responsibilities include developing and optimizing pipelines, managing data workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs. You will also mentor junior engineers, provide clear documentation, and maintain high standards of code quality and reliability. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Five or more years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer. - Minimum two years of commercial experience with Azure DevOps and Databricks. - At least two years of experience with DBT. - Experience with Apache Airflow and Snowflake is required. - Proficiency in Python (minimum three years) and SQL (minimum one year). - Hands‑on experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or Snowflake. - Strong technical leadership, capable of architecting complex systems from the ground up. - Advanced English communication skills for discussing business tasks, justifying decisions, and presenting to clients. - Excellent self‑organization and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting. - Reliability, adaptability, and a proactive approach to onboarding and delivering results quickly.
