Senior Business Value Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Business Value Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving measurable customer success and shaping how organizations realize, expand, and sustain value through dbt and Fivetran. You will partner with our most strategic customers and internal executive stakeholders to accelerate adoption, strengthen renewals, and fuel account growth. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Business Value Engineer, your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating closely with sales leaders and account teams to identify a value delivery strategy for key accounts - Engaging with top prospects to identify, understand, and quantify their unique challenges and potential benefits with dbt - Defining and communicating the dbt Labs value proposition in alignment with customer objectives - Leading business value reviews and business cases to effectively communicate the realized business impacts and potential economic benefits of new opportunities - Conducting thorough analysis of customer workflows and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency - Creating and delivering boardroom-quality, executive presentations to communicate the value of dbt Labs solutions - Partnering with dbt leadership to build new value-based GTM motions to prove product value and grow deal sizes - Providing guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to maximize the value of dbt Labs solutions - Conducting training and workshops to increase the quality of customer discovery and their understanding of business value and customer excellence - Building scalable programs and tools to support value selling across all parts of the GTM ecosystem - Contributing to the development of best practices and tools for enhanced value-based selling adoption WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need: - 7+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, or a related customer-facing role - Expert knowledge and experience in data analytics, AI, and SaaS environments - Strong consulting mindset, combining structure, curiosity, and analytical rigor with empathy and storytelling - Ability to work effectively in an asynchronous, fully remote team and collaborate across global time zones - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to business impact WHY REMOTE As a Senior Business Value Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment where you will have the opportunity to shape strategy from the ground up.
