ABOUT THE ROLE
Amplitude is the leading AI analytics platform, helping over 4,700 customers build better products and digital experiences. As a senior AV Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical quality of everything Amplitude produces and broadcasts from its offices. You will own the events, the studio, the conference rooms, and the visual standards of the office, ensuring that all technical aspects are handled with the highest level of quality and attention to detail.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a senior AV Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading full production of quarterly earnings calls, including camera operation, live switching, audio mixing, and broadcast coordination with external stakeholders
- Producing biweekly All Hands events, from setup to live operation, recording, and post-production delivery
- Owning all video recording workflows, including encoding, quality control, and final delivery
- Serving as the technical lead for any other company-wide or executive-facing video events
- Defining and maintaining visual quality standards across all displays, conference rooms, and shared spaces
- Conducting regular audits of AV equipment to ensure every room meets the standard
- Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting all conference room AV systems
- Managing the production studio, including equipment maintenance, setup standards, and readiness for recordings
- Handling L1 and L2 support for conference room issues, Studio questions, and in-person peripheral troubleshooting
- Serving as Zoom admin for the SF office and supporting global Zoom Rooms configuration
- Managing Zoom visitor management workflows, including lobby settings, guest access, and security compliance
- Coordinating with the broader IT team on equipment lifecycle and loaner management
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in AV engineering, broadcast production, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience running live corporate video productions, earnings calls, All Hands, or equivalent high-stakes formats
- Proficiency with live switching, multi-camera operation, and broadcast encoding
- Hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms and Zoom Admin console
- Strong knowledge of conference room AV systems (Poly, Neat, Logitech, Crestron, or similar)
- High attention to detail around visual quality standards
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues
- Consistent documentation habits
- CTS or equivalent certification is a plus
