Senior Application Security Engineer (Remote)

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team at Brex. Our team is responsible for designing and delivering systems that scale with speed and intention, and we are looking for an individual who can help us identify and address security vulnerabilities across our platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will be responsible for finding and responding to security vulnerabilities across the Brex platform. Your duties will include performing code reviews, design reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability management. You will also develop and maintain tooling to perform static and dynamic testing of the Brex platform and tooling that supports secure developer workflows. You will work closely with Security Operations, GRC, Product Security, Front End Platform, and IT Infrastructure teams to ensure that our platform is secure and reliable. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background and interest in penetration testing. You should have a demonstrated ability to find vulnerabilities in complex systems and craft exploits to demonstrate business impact. You should also be enthusiastic about working with a variety of backgrounds, roles, and needs. We are looking for individuals with 5+ years of work experience in an Application Security or related role, and a strong understanding of secure development activities, including threat modeling, developer education, and incident response. BENEFITS We offer a competitive salary range of $192,000 - $240,000, depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. We also provide equity and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
