Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE LaunchDarkly's Governance, Risk, and Compliance team is hiring a Security Analyst III to facilitate the definition, implementation, and operation of security and privacy programs at LaunchDarkly. This role is critical to the company's infrastructure, and the Security Analyst III will drive initiatives to assess and reduce security risks to the company, advise stakeholders, and maintain compliance with the frameworks that LaunchDarkly adheres to. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Security Analyst III, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design and operate security controls that comprise the LaunchDarkly Governance, Risk, and Compliance program. You will use technology to automate compliance activities, such as gathering evidence and verifying controls. You will also operationalize the health and maturity of the program by tracking metrics based on quantitative and qualitative data. Additionally, you will drive progress towards results for Governance, Risk, and Compliance-related continuous improvement projects, contribute to documentation for security standards, policies, and processes, and support audits and assessments with internal and external stakeholders. You will also work with product and infrastructure delivery teams on engineering projects related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance requirements. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need deep cybersecurity, privacy, and risk management knowledge and skill. You will also need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as experience working on collaborative projects. You should have a strong familiarity with security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, FedRAMP) as well as privacy laws (CCPA and GDPR). You should also be familiar with LaunchDarkly's collaboration tools, such as Confluence, Slack, and GitHub. Considerable knowledge of software development and architecture is a plus, as well as certifications such as CCSP, PCI QSA, CISSP, or CISA/CISM. BENEFITS LaunchDarkly offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, parental leave, education stipend, and life insurance. The target pay range for this role is $136,000 - $173,000 per year, depending on location.
