SDK Software Engineer, AI

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking an experienced SDK Engineer to join LaunchDarkly's AI Configs team. As a key member of this team, you'll play a crucial role in building the primary touchpoint that our customers interact with on a daily basis. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the development of the SDK that enables customers to control, monitor, and optimize their GenAI functionality. You'll work primarily in Python and Typescript, and contribute to feature-rich agents with strong emphases on performance, concurrency, and resiliency. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an SDK Engineer, you'll be responsible for contributing to the development of our open-source AI SDKs, including implementing new features and keeping up-to-date with the latest development practices. You'll collaborate with our engineering and product teams to drive the implementation and release of major features, and drive key improvements to key developer experience touch points within the SDK. You'll also actively maintain our open-source repositories, identify areas of improvement, and advocate for best practices. Additionally, you'll have an active voice in shaping both technology and product decisions. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need to have demonstrable experience building libraries and packages used by other developers. You should have 5+ years experience with Python and Typescript, and experience working with AI SDKs such as the OpenAI and Vercel AI SDKs. You'll also need strong computer science fundamentals, a commitment to working in a communicative, collaborative environment, and a self-starter mindset. Experience writing production-ready code with emphasis on quality and maintainability, as well as experience contributing to open-source software, is also highly desirable. For Level 3, the target pay ranges are: - Zone 1: $171,200 - $235,400 - Zone 2: $154,100 - $211,860 - Zone 3: $145,500 - $200,090 In addition to salary, LaunchDarkly offers Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits.
