[Pipeline] Staff+ Software Engineer, Experimentation

ABOUT THE ROLE Anthropic is a rapidly growing organization dedicated to developing reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. As a [Pipeline] Staff+ Software Engineer, Experimentation, you will play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure that enables our mission. You will focus on the configuration and experimentation systems that allow our teams to safely roll out changes, run controlled experiments, and make data-driven decisions across our products and infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a key member of our Infrastructure organization, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries that support high-volume experimentation and config workloads across all engineering teams. You will own the technical strategy and roadmap for config and experimentation infrastructure, translating team-level goals into concrete execution plans and partnering with teams focused on deployment, testing, and more. Your responsibilities will include: * Maintaining and enhancing the architecture for feature flagging, dynamic configuration, and experimentation systems * Designing and building scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries * Defining standards, tooling, and frameworks for experimentation and configuration management * Evolving the platforms and tooling that let engineers and researchers safely ship config changes, run experiments, and measure impact WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of configuration management, feature flagging, and/or experimentation platforms in a large-scale environment. You should have strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go, as well as experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support internal partners to improve their development experience are also essential.
