[Pipeline] Staff+ Software Engineer, Developer Acceleration

ABOUT THE ROLE Anthropic is seeking a talented and experienced Staff+ Software Engineer to join the Developer Acceleration team within the Developer Productivity organization. The Developer Acceleration team is responsible for the infrastructure that enables thousands of employees to be productive via agents. As a Staff+ Software Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the velocity and quality of Anthropic's research and engineering development, defining how AI transforms our work and building the future of agentic productivity. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Staff+ Software Engineer, Developer Acceleration, you will be responsible for defining the future of agentic productivity at scale and at the frontier. You will own the technical strategy and roadmap for your area, translating goals into concrete execution. You will also define what quality means for agent-driven engineering work, and hold that line across the company. Your responsibilities will include staying hands-on, building and shipping the runtime platform and tooling, building agent harnesses, experimenting with context management strategies, writing evals to benchmark agent behaviors, delivering impact by collaborating cross-team, and owning infrastructure scalability and reliability. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, 3+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead, and a lot of experience with agents, such as agents doing technical/knowledge work. You will also need to be obsessed with productivity and transforming how we work, have experience building scalable platforms, and have excellent communication skills and enjoy supporting internal partners. BENEFITS The annual compensation range for this role is $405,000 - $485,000 USD.
