ABOUT THE ROLE
Figma is a leading design and collaboration platform that empowers teams to bring ideas to life. As a Manager, Software Engineering - AI Product, you will play a key role in shaping the future of design and collaboration by leading a team of software engineers focused on building and expanding Figma's developer offerings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Manager, Software Engineering - AI Product, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of product engineers, defining strategy and roadmap for the team, and executing on that roadmap with a high degree of autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship. You will also partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions. Additionally, you will provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others that collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions. You will also be responsible for recruiting, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineers and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and calculated risk-taking.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users. You will also need a proven track record of building AI-powered products that are best in class in user experience, as well as demonstrated ability to tie product and engineering work to clear business impact. You will also need strong leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team, including mentoring and growing senior engineers.
