Lead Software Engineer, Messaging Infrastructure

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Messaging Infrastructure team at Klaviyo. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Lead Software Engineer, Messaging Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, reliable, and high-performance messaging infrastructure solutions. You will lead the development of complex software systems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical decisions and deliver business outcomes. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of the curve in marketing automation and messaging technologies. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on messaging infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud-based technologies. You should have a solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++, as well as experience with containerization, orchestration, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, and a master's degree is a plus. You should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
