ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Lead Machine Learning Scientist to join our Machine Learning Search Team at Monzo, a pioneering fintech company that's on a mission to make money work for everyone. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in building the Monzo Co-pilot, an intelligent, proactive ally that handles the complexity of users' financial lives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Lead Machine Learning Scientist, you'll be a technical leader and individual contributor, leveraging your deep expertise to develop and deploy advanced ML models to our over 15 million customers. You'll work on building scalable, explainable, and responsible AI solutions that enhance trust, transparency, and the overall customer experience. Your work may involve user and product embeddings, contextual bandits, or personalised ranking algorithms that improve search and discovery.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To succeed in this role, you'll need a multiple year track record of excellence leading the development and deployment of advanced Machine Learning models to tackle real business problems. You'll have experience developing and shipping state of the art ML models to production and delivering business impact. You should be impact driven, excited to own the end to end journey that starts with a business problem and ends with your solution having a measurable impact in production. You'll also need a self-starter mindset, with the ability to proactively identify issues and opportunities and tackle them without being told to do so.
