Anthropic
Lead, Data Center Security Delivery (Construction to Operations)
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Anthropic is rapidly expanding its data‑center footprint, building multiple campuses simultaneously across the globe. As Lead, Data Center Security Delivery, you will own the end‑to‑end security program for every new build, from groundbreaking through commissioning to handover into operational control. Your role ensures that each campus meets Anthropic’s rigorous safety, reliability, and compliance standards before it becomes an active site. You will be the single point of accountability for security readiness, working closely with architects, contractors, integrators, and operating partners to embed robust physical and cyber protections into the fabric of each facility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will define and enforce construction‑phase security requirements, vet contractors, and coordinate access controls to protect critical equipment. You will develop and maintain milestone‑based acceptance criteria, lead FAT/SAT and punch‑list reviews, and issue formal security sign‑offs. You will design and execute an operator readiness program that verifies staffing, SOPs, monitoring systems, and contractual obligations are in place before handover. You will produce comprehensive turnover packages, including as‑built drawings, test records, and residual‑risk registers, and transition responsibility to the operations team. You will represent security in design reviews, OAC meetings, and change‑management sessions, surfacing risks and proposing mitigation plans to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You have a proven track record delivering the full security scope for new‑build data‑center or comparable critical‑infrastructure projects, with documented experience in design, construction, commissioning, and handover. You have led milestone and commissioning acceptance processes, including FAT/SAT, punch lists, and formal sign‑offs. You are comfortable holding contractors, operators, or landlords accountable to contractual security obligations and can articulate clear, evidence‑based readiness plans. You thrive in high‑volume, concurrent construction environments, absorbing operational noise while driving each site toward its handover date. You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, authoring requirements and process documents that are adopted and refined in the field. You influence decisions through collaboration rather than authority, working effectively with general contractors, integrators, operators, and internal stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include CPP or PSP certification, hyperscaler or colocation new‑build experience, and a background in construction management or owner representation.
WHY REMOTE
Anthropic embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers teams to work from wherever they can perform at their best. The Lead, Data Center Security Delivery role is designed for remote execution, with flexible hours that accommodate global construction schedules and cross‑regional stakeholders. Remote work enables you to focus on high‑impact delivery activities—design reviews, acceptance events, and stakeholder coordination—while minimizing travel time and maximizing productivity. Our remote framework supports collaboration through robust digital tools, regular virtual syncs, and clear documentation, ensuring that security delivery remains seamless across time zones.
BENEFITS
Anthropic offers a competitive benefits package that includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; a generous paid time off policy; a remote work stipend to support home‑office setup; and a learning budget for professional development. We provide a supportive environment that values work‑life balance, continuous learning, and career growth.
