Junior Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team at Stripe. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our products, working closely with our Lead Engineer and other team members to design, implement, and deploy software solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Junior Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include contributing to the design and development of software features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging issues, as well as participating in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles, with a degree in Computer Science or a related field. You should have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, as well as a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies is also desirable.
