Full-Stack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Full-Stack Engineer at Stripe, you will play a critical role in building platform-level capabilities for the Stripe Dashboard, elevating the experience for every merchant. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a member of the Dashboard Foundation team, your responsibilities will include: - Building platform-level capabilities for the Stripe Dashboard, creating and expanding platform capabilities to support the ever-changing needs of merchants. - Building software services and platforms that impact millions of users, whether they are end users, developers, or partners. - Ensuring platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible, and shaping future-proof interfaces that are easy to build against. - Making effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation. - Debugging production issues across services and levels of the stack. - Designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems across engineering teams. - Coordinating with other engineers to build delightful features that span various parts of the system, as well as with the business, sales, and operations teams to understand and solve the users' pain points. - Playing a key role in expanding the reach of the global payments network, and delivering best-in-class reliability and performance. - Utilizing computer science and software engineering knowledge to debug and solve critical production issues across software and services. - Aligning the technical decisions with broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businesses. - Developing and executing against both short- and long-term roadmaps. - Owning engineering solutions from end to end, managing complexity and engaging directly with stakeholders. - Upholding high engineering standards and elevating quality and engineering efficiency to the many codebases and processes. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus 1 year of software development experience. - 1 year of internship experience in software engineering in a corporate or industry setting. - 1 year of experience in building software solutions with the Python programming language. - 1 year of experience in designing and implementing backend APIs. - 1 year of experience in designing and implementing performant, cross-platform website user interfaces. - 1 year of experience in data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns, including the use of relevant tools and methodologies. - 1 year of experience contributing to large-scale codebases that affect millions of users. The salary range for this role is $156,800 - $235,200 per year, with the possibility of sales commissions/sales bonuses targets in addition to the base salary.
