Full Stack Engineer, Startup Products

ABOUT THE ROLE Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses that helps companies of all sizes accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. As a Full Stack Engineer on the Startup Products team, you will play a critical role in building products that help founders start and run a company from anywhere in the world. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining user-facing experiences, services, APIs, and systems. You will make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation. You will also scrutinize, reason clearly, and make decisions about technology and architecture choices, talk with and learn from users, and debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of software engineering experience and a passion for building products that solve problems and delight users. You should be a generalist who enjoys working on both the frontend and backend, and have a high-quality bar, attention to detail, and a willingness to collaborate with different stakeholders and partners. Experience with startups and the challenges founders face is a plus, as is prior experience with Ruby, Javascript/Typescript, React, and SQL.
