Full Stack Engineer, AgentControl

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our AgentControl team at LaunchDarkly. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our AI Configs product. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, to understand real-world challenges and improve GenAI workflows using our platform. Your expertise will help us continuously optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Full Stack Engineer on our AgentControl team, your responsibilities will include: - Building and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power the AI Configs product - Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand real-world challenges and improve GenAI workflows using our platform - Continuously optimizing the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems - Participating in architecture and design discussions, offering thoughtful input and collaborating with senior engineers to identify tradeoffs and make well-informed decisions - Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI field and in software development best practices - Taking ownership of code in production, participating in on-call rotations, and helping improve the reliability and maintainability of our systems over time WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need: - At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production-quality full-stack features - Hands-on experience building GenAI features, Agents, and/or working with Large Language Models (LLMs), either through direct model integration or leveraging AI APIs like OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, or AWS Bedrock - Understanding of prompt engineering, fine-tuning models, or deploying AI services in production environments - Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful APIs - Experience writing production-ready code with emphasis on quality and maintainability - Experience with distributed systems or data ingestion - Strong computer science fundamentals - Commitment to working in a communicative, collaborative environment - Comfortable navigating ambiguous challenges in a rapidly evolving domain, and excited about staying at the forefront of AI advancements - Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering impactful solutions - Proven ability to work closely with Product and Design teams to define requirements for new features in a fast-paced iterative environment WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you'll enjoy the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a collaborative and communicative team.
