Engineering Manager, Stateful Distributed Systems

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Infrastructure team at Mixpanel. As a key member of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for building and growing a high-performing team that drives foundational initiatives in high-scale distributed systems and backend engineering. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Engineering Manager at Mixpanel, you will lead and build AI-first product experiences from inception to global scale. You will be responsible for leading an engineering team and growing its scope over time, developing people, and unlocking their potential. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building an exceptional team by hiring well, coaching deeply, and creating a culture where engineers feel ownership and pride in what they ship - Shaping direction alongside Product, turning big ideas into focused execution and helping teams move fast without losing quality - Setting the technical bar and protecting the system, either through hands-on technical leadership or empowering tech leads with clarity and trust WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 4 years of leading engineering teams - Experience building and running infrastructure supporting real-world, customer-facing web applications - Experience building and using AI-powered product analytics WHY REMOTE Our team is distributed across North America, with strong clusters in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and Austin.
