We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our team of talented engineers in building and operating highly-available products at scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Engineering Manager, you will work directly with our Senior Director of Engineering, partnering closely with product, design, data, security, and go-to-market stakeholders to define and deliver the roadmap for new Scheduling products. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
- Coaching, mentoring, and onboarding new engineering team members
- Identifying future technical needs and creating plans to meet them
- Providing feedback and guidance to help us continuously grow and scale
- Hiring engineers to build out both new and existing squads for the company, with oversight on all team members that get hired onto the squad
- Working on products and services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of users
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years experience managing a team of Software Engineers
- 5+ years of overall development experience, ideally using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Experience driving the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows to help improve engineering team productivity, collaboration, and delivery efficiency in an AI-first organization
- Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS
- Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects
- Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts
- Experience leading Agile / Scrum ceremonies
- Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

The expected annual base salary for this role ranges from $232,626 to $281,888 USD, depending on the metropolitan area.
