As the company continues to grow at an annual rate of 70‑80 %, we are expanding our engineering team to support a nationwide portfolio of projects. The Engineer Estimator will play a pivotal role in translating architectural intent into precise, cost‑effective construction plans, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship while staying within budget. This remote position aligns with the New York time zone and will collaborate closely with sales, design, and production teams across our offices in Los Angeles, Florida, and Texas. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Review architectural drawings and sales quotes to determine optimal installation options for glass, aluminum, and steel partition systems. - Perform accurate take‑offs for all door and partition openings using both architectural and shop drawings. - Read and interpret door schedules, hardware sets, and layout plans to guarantee correct product selection and full compatibility. - Communicate with the sales team to clarify project scope, technical requirements, and deadlines, ensuring alignment across disciplines. - Request and verify necessary documentation, including compliance and regulatory certifications, to support project approvals. - Prepare detailed, transparent quotes that delineate materials, scope of work, exclusions, and any relevant assumptions or conditions. - Identify technical errors in sales proposals, propose corrective actions, and recommend alternative solutions to optimize cost and performance. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - A technical degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent proven experience as an engineer/estimator. - Strong spatial thinking and advanced problem‑solving skills applied to complex construction drawings. - Demonstrated experience with quantity take‑offs from construction and mechanical drawings, including door and partition systems. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil and mechanical drawings, hardware sets, and layout plans. - Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with a solid grasp of formulas and data analysis. - Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently. - Comfortable working with scaled PDFs and tools such as Adobe Acrobat. - Fluent Russian and upper‑intermediate English (B2 or higher) for effective written and verbal communication. - Availability to work full‑time during New York business hours (8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST). WHY REMOTE Crystalia Glass embraces a distributed, asynchronous culture that empowers employees to work from anywhere while maintaining clear, real‑time communication during core hours. The remote model allows you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments, fostering a productive and flexible work environment. Our teams collaborate through cloud‑based tools, shared document repositories, and scheduled video syncs, ensuring that distance never hinders collaboration or innovation. BENEFITS - Competitive salary commensurate with experience and a transparent career‑development path. - Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision plans. - Generous paid time off, sick leave, and a flexible holiday policy. - Remote work stipend to support home‑office setup and internet connectivity. - Dedicated learning budget for professional development courses, certifications, and industry conferences. - Access to a diverse, talented team that values creativity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
