Documentation Engineer II - Europe

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Documentation Engineer II at Storyblok, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining documentation related to our products, processes, and training materials. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that information is accurate, accessible, and effectively supports internal and external users. With a focus on developing a deep understanding of Storyblok and headless CMS, you will help developers, partner agencies, and customers to implement a headless architecture on their projects easily and get the best out of Storyblok's features. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Documentation Engineer II, your responsibilities will include: - Becoming a Storyblok and headless CMS authority, helping developers and customers to understand Storyblok and its capabilities - Creating and maintaining developer tutorials, developer guides, FAQ entries, and API documentation - Writing sample applications, prototypes, and code samples to showcase the power and flexibility of Storyblok and the headless approach to content management - Helping teammates overcome obstacles, resolving blockers, and completing work tasks - Seeking guidance to increase your own experience and mentoring teammates in an open, respectful, flexible, and empathetic manner WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 5+ years of experience in web development - Proven experience in technical writing and documentation - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience - Experience with CMS in general; experience with Headless CMS is a plus - Thorough knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs, with GraphQL APIs being a plus - Working knowledge of at least one modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue, React, Next, Nuxt, Astro, or Svelte) along with its fundamental principles - Working knowledge of Git - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Good problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities - High attention to detail - Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in documentation - Ability to learn and document technical topics efficiently and comprehensively - Ability to assume the users' perspective to convey technical information clearly - Ability to work independently with little direct supervision - Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking WHY REMOTE As a fully remote company, Storyblok offers a flexible work schedule that allows you to enjoy a better work-life balance.
