Distributed Systems Engineer - Data Platform - Analytics and Alerts

ABOUT THE ROLE We are on a mission to help build a better Internet at Cloudflare, a company that runs one of the world’s largest networks powering millions of websites and other Internet properties. Our team is looking for experienced and highly motivated engineers to join our Data Organisation and help build the future of data at Cloudflare. As a Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex distributed systems challenges across different parts of our data stack. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will be part of our Analytics and Alerts group, responsible for developing and enhancing our public APIs, such as the GraphQL Analytics API, and our alerting platform. Your mission will be to empower customers to leverage their data to drive better outcomes for their business. You will design and develop high-performance, scalable systems that handle massive volumes of data, and ensure the reliability of notification systems. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in a distributed systems environment - Strong understanding of data pipelines, analytics, and alerting systems - Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java - Experience with databases such as ClickHouse or similar - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and collaboration skills WHY REMOTE Cloudflare offers a remote work option for this role, allowing you to work from Austin, TX.
