ABOUT THE ROLE
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, providing a platform for millions of companies to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. As a Data Scientist, Payments, you will play a key role in partnering with our Local Payment Methods (LPM) engineering and product teams to understand, grow, and optimize our LPM business, leveraging data to make strategic business decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Data Scientist, Payments, you will be responsible for analyzing data, building machine learning and statistical models, and running experiments to drive impact. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results, communicate findings clearly, and drive business decisions. Your work will influence how our products work, how our business operates, and how our go-to-market motions operate.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be considered for this role, you should meet the minimum requirements:
- Hold a PhD, MSc or MA with 2 years, or BS or BA with 3 years of data science or quantitative modeling experience
- Be proficient in SQL and a computing language such as Python or R
- Have experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results
- Be able to communicate results clearly and focus on driving impact
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail
- Possess strong business acumen and experience in synthesizing complex analyses into actionable recommendations
- Be proficient with AI tools to accelerate model development, analysis, and coding
