WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Data Scientist at Doximity, you will work within cross-functional delivery teams alongside other analysts, engineers, and product managers to discover data insights that help improve healthcare. Your key responsibilities will include leveraging Doximity's extensive datasets to identify and classify behavioral patterns of medical professionals on our platform, playing a key role in creating both product and client-facing analytics, informing data team strategy, and collaborating with a team to define and lead data projects from data ingestion to analysis to recommendations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need at least 2 years of professional experience as a data analyst or a data scientist. You should have knowledge of statistical concepts, especially exploratory data analysis techniques, and probability theory. Your excellent SQL skills should enable you to create and evaluate complex statements involving numerous tables and data relationships. You should also have excellent visualization and storytelling skills to explain your results and solutions to stakeholders clearly and compellingly. Proficiency in using Python data analysis libraries such as Pandas and Numpy, as well as a basic understanding of object-oriented programming concepts as it relates to Python, is also required. Prior exposure to distributed data processing concepts and execution is a plus.
WHY REMOTE
This role can be filled either in our San Francisco headquarters or remotely in the U.S. We have worked as a distributed team for a long time, and currently, about 65% of our team is distributed.
