This role can be filled in our San Francisco headquarters or remotely in the US or Canada.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a seasoned data engineer, you will collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to develop pipelines and ETL tasks that facilitate the extraction of insights. You will establish data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated, and serve as standards for other teams to leverage. You will also inform data team strategy by working with product leaders and managers, actively participate in execution and planning of organizational data team strategy, and collaborate with Doximity's Data Leadership team to ensure alignment and success across the entire Data Organization. Additionally, you will manage individual Data Engineers to foster learning, growth, and success at Doximity.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or similar role. You should be an expert in Python, possess fluency in SQL, and have developed maintainable data pipelines with each. You should also have experience managing 3 or more people, be an excellent communicator who can explain complex concepts simply, and have led several projects from idea generation to planning, execution, and delivery. You should have working knowledge of how ML/AI applications are deployed and monitored, and be motivated to use this awareness to advance data-driven initiatives.
