CI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly skilled CI Engineer to join our engineering team at Metabase and play a critical role in maintaining the health, speed, and reliability of our testing and release infrastructure. With a global team of ~70 people, we're committed to building an async-friendly, shipping-focused engineering culture that prioritizes collaboration and innovation. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a CI Engineer at Metabase, you'll be responsible for owning the end-to-end health and reliability of our CI systems. This involves supporting engineers who write tests, identifying potential problems before they become outages, and proactively improving the release process. You'll take initiative to analyze patterns in flakiness, improve test coverage, and ensure the smooth operation of our testing and release infrastructure. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on testing, release, and infrastructure. You should be self-directed, with a passion for reliability and a keen eye for spotting potential problems. Ideally, you'll have experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and agile development methodologies.
