Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join the Anthropic Fellows Program, a 4-month full-time research opportunity designed to foster AI research and engineering talent. As an Anthropic Fellow, you will work on an empirical project aligned with our research priorities, with the goal of producing a public output, such as a paper submission.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an ML Systems & Performance Fellow, you will be part of a dynamic team working on various research projects related to AI systems and performance. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic's research priorities
- Producing a public output, such as a paper submission
- Collaborating with mentors and other team members to advance research goals
- Implementing ideas quickly and communicating clearly
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong technical background in computer science, mathematics, or physics
- Fluency in Python programming
- Availability to work full-time on the Fellows program
- A strong background in a discipline relevant to the ML Systems & Performance workstream (e.g. computer systems, software engineering, or machine learning)
- Experience in areas of research or engineering related to the workstream

As an Anthropic Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work remotely from either Berkeley, California or London, UK. You will also have access to a shared workspace, direct mentorship from Anthropic researchers, and a connection to the broader AI safety and security research community.
