AI Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE LaunchDarkly is a global leader in feature management, empowering teams to ship software faster and more reliably. We are looking for an AI Specialist to join our engineering organization and help us bring intelligent, data‑driven insights to our feature flag platform. In this role you will work closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to build, deploy, and scale AI solutions that enhance feature experimentation, risk assessment, and customer success. Your work will directly impact how thousands of companies deliver new features with confidence and speed. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design and implement machine learning models that predict feature adoption, detect anomalies, and recommend optimal flag configurations. - Build end‑to‑end data pipelines that ingest telemetry from millions of feature flag events, transform data, and feed it into production‑grade AI services. - Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into AI‑driven product features and communicate model performance to stakeholders. - Conduct rigorous experimentation, A/B testing, and model validation to ensure reliability and fairness across diverse user segments. - Mentor junior engineers on best practices in model development, versioning, and deployment. - Stay current with emerging AI research and evaluate new tools that can accelerate LaunchDarkly’s AI roadmap. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 3+ years of experience building production AI/ML systems in a software‑as‑a‑service context. - Proficiency in Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and experience with scalable serving frameworks such as TorchServe or TensorFlow Serving. - Strong background in data engineering, including SQL, data warehousing, and streaming platforms like Kafka or Pulsar. - Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Familiarity
