Verify the destination
Prefer the employer's official career site or recognized applicant-tracking domain. Check the company name, domain and role before applying.
Never pay to apply
Be cautious if someone asks for gift cards, cryptocurrency, equipment purchases sent to a stranger, or a fee simply to submit an application.
Protect sensitive information
Do not send banking credentials, passwords or identity documents through an unexpected chat or personal email address. Legitimate onboarding may require identity information later, but verify the employer first.
