Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated Public Health Practitioner to join our team at Public Health Wales, the national public health agency in Wales. As a Public Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development and delivery of projects that aim to improve population health and reduce health inequalities in Wales.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Public Health Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the development and delivery of projects to understand and influence wider determinants of health at an All Wales level
- Undertaking the monitoring and contributing to the evaluation of actions that aim to improve population health and reduce health inequalities
- Monitoring the delivery of project plans and actions relevant to sections of the Public Health Wales Long Term Strategy
- Contributing to the development of interventions that are co-produced with key stakeholders, including the public
- Leading on the dissemination of knowledge and evidence relating to the wider determinants of health
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience of implementing public health interventions and programmes
- Analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work with a range of public sector stakeholders
- Drive and ambition to make a difference in public health

We operate an agile working policy, which allows for flexible working arrangements, including part-time roles and job sharing. This role is open to remote working, and the base is negotiable.
