Global Tax Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE Okta is seeking a Global Tax Manager to lead its Tax Compliance and Reporting team. This is a hybrid role with a strong focus on leveraging AI and tax technology to improve accuracy, speed, and quality across the tax function. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational, project management, and process improvement skills, and is proficient in most areas of income tax compliance and reporting encountered by multinational technology corporations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Global Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading the quarterly and annual income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness. You will also manage global income tax compliance, including preparation, review, and coordination with external advisors for U.S. federal, state, and international filings. You will actively use AI tools and tax technology platforms as part of day-to-day compliance and provision work, and help evaluate new tools to bring into the team's workflow. Additionally, you will identify and help implement opportunities to automate manual, repetitive tax processes, and design, maintain, and improve SOX controls and documentation. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need a CPA and/or JD, as well as a BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or a similar discipline. You will also need a minimum of 5 years of working experience in a combination of Big 4 and corporate tax department with multinational operations. You should have a strong understanding of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, including provision review, uncertain tax positions, and global tax reporting. Proficiency with OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision is also required.
