Management Accountant Dayshift

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team on a dayshift schedule. As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing and analysing financial reports, monitoring labour costs, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and labour hire regulations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include: - Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis - Monitoring labour costs, margins, contractor profitability, and client performance - Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management - Reconciling payroll, timesheets, invoicing, and contractor costs - Analyzing award rates, overtime, allowances, and labour utilisation trends - Supporting end-of-month and end-of-year financial processes - Partnering with operations and recruitment teams to improve financial performance - Preparing client profitability reports and KPI dashboards - Assisting with audit preparation and statutory reporting - Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities within finance and payroll systems WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will require: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline - At least 3 years of experience in management accounting - Experience in labour hire, recruitment, staffing, construction, healthcare, logistics, or workforce-heavy industries - Strong understanding of payroll costing and workforce-related financial analysis - Advanced Excel skills - Experience with accounting and payroll systems - Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Australian labour hire regulations and awards, experience with ERP systems such as MYOB, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or Pronto, and Power BI or financial modelling experience WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and enjoy a better work-life balance.
